Google Launches Boutiques.com

It was only a matter of time before Google directly entered the fashion market, and today was the day.  This morning, Google launched the beta site of Boutiques.com, an online tool that "analyzes" shoppers' tastes and helps customize a personalized boutique.

The site allows for users to log on and create an ID, where you can then customize preferences by answering questions about color, pattern, brand, silhouette, and style preferences (or dislikes).

Users can also browse celebrity boutiques, and ones "curated" by stylists, bloggers (hey E, wanna create one??), and designers.  Boutiques contain up to 50 items, and will also feature items that Google deems "inspired" by your choices.

Here are some additional pics of the site:

My take on Boutiques.com?  Attractive layout?  Check.  Great celebrity endorsement so far?  Check.  Unique concept?  Check minus.  To be honest, I feel like we've seen pieces of this all over the web in terms of customizing style preferences to aggregate personalized clothing options.  Also, there are numerous sites where celebrities pick favorite pieces so we can "shop their selections."  But enough with Debbie Downer... I give credit to Boutiques.com for putting all of the pieces into one user-friendly experience.

Let me know if you've had a chance to play around on the site and what you think!

xoxo A
