House Tour: The Zoe/Berman House

Could you imagine buying a 7,000+ sq foot house in LA, buying all new furniture for it and moving in without actually lifting a finger?!? Well that is what happened on this week's episode of The Rachel Zoe Project on Bravo. Rachel and Rodge bought the most incredible home and had it completely furnished by her new stylist assistant (who previously worked as an interior designer), Jeremiah Brent. Oh and he had about a week to shop and less than 24 hours to actually decorate the home. But it miraculously came together better than Rachel or Rodge could have ever expected. This episode could not have been better..we got Rachel Zoe plus an incredible home makeover by a genius...not to mention beautiful designer!!

Wedding Wednesday: Pretty Programs

Happy Wedding Wednesday, Boys and Girls!
(Do any guys actually read this?)

Today I wanted to talk about wedding programs.  No, this isn't nearly as exciting as seeing pictures of wedding dresses, flowers or even honeymoon talk; however, I think there's a little piece of ALL of us in Blogger-land who adore all things paper.

I love the plan for my wedding programs (shout out, Angela Weber), and I think they are the perfect fit for my wedding's look and feel.  BUT, if money weren't an issue, or if I were having a wedding in a location besides a Catholic Church, I'd likely "step outside the box."

Here are some different styles that I thought were fun.  Some of them are really not my style, but I can appreciate how they would be FABULOUS for others!

So, which style is most YOU?  And if you were to pick something "outside the box" from what you'd really use (or did use) in your wedding, which would it be?

Tuesday Shoesday

Get them at: luisaviaroma

Oh if only I had $2200 to spend on a pair of shoes.... They are stunning though. I have only come across one other pair of Max Kibardin shoes and I was OBSESSED with them too. I was searching for wedding shoes (which took months and months) when I came across these, but sadly for me, they only came in red. Anyway, I hope to see more SOON from this super talented designer!!

Gwyneth's Emmys Scrapbook

Could we love her more? Seriously, I used to have this impression that she was cold and snobby, but she has made herself seem much more fun, down to earth and approachable/accessible and..maybe I'm wrong..but I think she is genuinely that way. She made a little diary of her trip to the Emmys for her blog, Goop, and it looked like the best day ever. I love that we get to see all the preparation that goes into a big day for a superstar like her. Check out her day o' glamour below!

She starts in Paris (naturally). This is a view from her hotel room at the Shangri-La
She takes a train to London and then off to LA where she stays here at the Montage
Hair Prep time with David Babaii sans makeup
Time for makeup by Kate Lee
Into the KILLER Pucci dress which she says she was literally
sewn into
The picking of the Neil Lane jewels (could you imagine??)
SHOES!
Ugh...PERFECTION! Now off to the Emmys

Gwyneth's view of the red carpet
Backstage as she presents an award
Done and done...time to have fun!

How fun was that?!?! Love her!!
Thanks to my friend, Gloria for sending me the link!!

Mark your calendars people because H&M is about to change your life forever. Probably not true...but I just can't contain my excitement after seeing some of the Versace for H&M collection hitting stores this November. The clothes are perfection and I will die and go broke if the H&M at Northpark gets this collection! Wedding Wednesday: The Wedding of Barbie and Ken!

It's Wedding Wednesday, and I've got something for you that's so completely random, yet so completely fabulous.

I first saw these photos via my friend Haley's blog (Nonsense & Sensibility).  This photo shoot was the mastermind of photographer Beatrice de Guigne, who you can learn more about here.

Beatrice told the blog Rock n Roll Bride: “Barbie & Ken were married at Faraway Castle, in Plasticity. The bride bought her dress from The Fairy Godmother shop and her shoes from the Cinderella Store. The groom wore a suit from The Prince Charming Emporium. The couple met more than 50 years ago (yes I know they look young). Barbie was tired of waiting so she asked Ken to get married.”

So here we go... perhaps the most off-the-wall Wedding Wednesday ever!

I must say... Barbie looks fabulous, but I'm not so sure about Ken's groomsmens' attire!  (Perhaps he should have consulted Things That Sparkle's Groomsmen's Attire post!)

I hope you enjoyed the Barbie fun!

xoxo, A
