In The Clutches

I have never been a huge "day clutch" kind of girl, but of course, leave it to my muse, Taylor Tomasi Hill, to make me want one! She has been seen everywhere with her brightly colored Celine pouches and now I am dying over them! And Taylor isn't the only one loving these bags. They are being carried by tons of trend- setters...especially in bright colors! Whether it's a pouch, envelope bag or portfolio clutches, I am obsessed with these grab bags!!!

Trend Alert: Seeing Red

Santa isn't the only one daring enough to rock an all red suit. Whether it's lipstick, candy apple or persimmon, shades of red have become the color of choice for some major designers and celebrities. The head to toe, monochromatic look started back in 2009 with Phoebe Philo's designs for Celine, but variations of the look have been seen every season since.

New Obsession: Midi Skirts

Since ladylike looks were all over the runway, I thought I should invest in a mid length skirt or dress for spring. I actually haven't been this excited about knee length and midi skirts since high school. I used to throw on a knee length skirt (preferably a jersey number from BCBG), pair it with a quarter length sleeve shirt, some platform Mia sandals and I was good to go. This time around I am thinking a flowy mid length skirt a la The Row and Chloe will work, or an ultrafeminine tank dress like the lace and sheer ones at  Proenza Schouler, or maybe I should go super chic and get a pencil skirt with a loose fitting blouse like the looks at Celine and Prada. Oy...SO many options!
